'When Darkness Falls' (58 mins, 2006) is a lesbian film noir project written and directed by Rohan Spong as part of his Honors thesis. It was produced by Mel Wigg. It premiered at the Melbourne Underground Film Festival in July 2006 and went on to do a season of independent screenings around Australia.
The film stars Sarah Bollenberg as Private Detective Virginia Martin and Elizabeth Sandy as Betsy Sloane. It also featured guest performances by Katy Manning (Doctor Who, UKTV) and Natalie Bassingthwaighte (Neighbours, So You Think You Can Dance and musical act Rogue Traders).
